Our Surgical Suite including day surgery has a team of Specialists, providing patients ease of access and a wide range of specialties.

Our Surgical Centre is located around the corner from the Main Entrance of the hospital, in Breckenridge Street. Our friendly, experienced staff at Forster Private Hospital are dedicated to ensuring the safety, comfort and wellbeing of our patients is looked after both prior to and following your procedure.

Pre-Admission

You may be requested to attend our Pre-Admission Clinic (PAC), where you may need to have pathology tests and a medical review prior to the day of surgery.

Your Procedure

You will be escorted into the operating suite for your procedure and then depending upon your type of procedure; you will be either returned to day surgery area or taken into the recovery room. In the recovery room once you have woken up and your observations are satisfactory, you will either be returned to day surgery to enjoy something to eat and drink prior to your discharge, or taken around to the hospital patient rooms as a planned admission.

Our operating theatre suite compromises two large well equipped operating theatres, a recovery room and a sterilising department. We have new state of the art equipment, enabling us to carry out our procedures.

We undertake the following services within the theatre suite:
