Dr Lwin earned her MBBS in 2007 and joined physician training in Australia in 2010. She also became a member of MRCP (Edin) in 2015.

Dr Lwin completed her physician training and infectious diseases program at John Hunter Hospital in Newcastle. She earned her Fellowship FRACP from the Royal Australasian College of Physicians with dual certification to practice both internal medicine and infectious disease.

Dr Lwin specializes in all aspects of infectious disease including general clinical infection as well as;

  • Tropical & Travel Medicine
  • Mycobacterial disease
  • Hepatitis
  • HIV Medicine

She is also interested in research and authored a number of publications on different areas of clinical infectious diseases.

Dr Lwin works at Manning Base Hospital as both infectious diseases and general medicine physician and visits both Mayo and Forster Private Hospitals for consultations.
